There are five main styles of taiji or families. These are Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu, and Sun. In addition to those styles, several modern competition styles have been created, 42 forms/ 24 forms/ 48 forms/78 forms etc but mainly the 42 forms and the 42 sword forms. These are the most prominent styles, inside those styles themselves there are several subdivisions. There are several smaller styles that were developed outside of these styles as well, but never became as famous. There is no one style that is really better than another, it depends on personal taste, and body type. The theories inside are also slightly different, and some of the developments within the styles represent the generations of research. Martial arts are a science that develops along with those who train it. You can’t keep down the human mind; we discover new things about old ideas every day.

Pushing hand is the first introduction a Taiji practitioner will have to human interaction with the art. It is the foundation for the fighting aspects of the art, but it is more as well. Pushing hands offers a practitioner the opportunity to work with a classmate to test and see ones strengths and weaknesses, it allows one to gauge their own development, and is a handy tool for identifying shortcomings or unseen mistakes in one’s form and postures.



Pushing hands it has developed into a competition of its own. There are yearly competitions around the world now, and many participate, unfortunately some place pushing hands proficiency above actual taiji proficiency, thereby digressing it into a tug of war match testing each other’s strength rather than actually utilizing true taiji fundamentals. The problem there is that lower level practitioners have made an advancing tool the focus of their practice, thereby impeding their own advancement. It is key when practicing pushing hands that you are not competing with your partner, (unless you are actually taking part in a competition of course)

Anything referred to as an “internal martial art” tends to be a style that focused around using the intentions to lead movement, rather than just action and reaction. Internal martial arts also tend to draw their energy first from the Electromagnetic forces of the Body (or Qi) rather than using brute strength to apply their power. From a position of muscular system, internal martial arts tend to rely more on skeletal alignment and tendon strength rather than larger muscles movements for their applications. Internal martial arts tend to be more scientific in application and training methods, build fundamentals deeply before actually giving the meat of fighting applications to a student. This is truly a question that cannot be covered in a simple faq.

How does one Meditate? it’s really simple, take a time when you have nothing to do, then sit down cross your legs and keep your hands in front of you with palms down on your legs, then relax you're body and take one deep breath and let out the stale air. Keep your back straight but don't force your back." keep body relaxed" Close your eyes and slowly breath in through the nose and out through the mouth, but don't force it, do it naturally, you want to breath like you normally breath without thought. Then just concentrate on the breath and block out all thoughts, whether good thoughts or bad thoughts it does not matter, just keep the mind empty of thoughts. If you have anything to think about, then do it when you're not Meditating or after you meditate. Now when you breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth in a slow normal peace, you should expand the belly NOT the chest! Remember you're focal point should be you're breathing. Do this for about 5 to 20 minutes a day. This should help you clear your mind and it’s also healthy for the body. Don't have any TV or Radios on you be quite, no sounds, try to relax and slow your heart rate down, and stop all those "random thoughts" from entering your mind, but don't use force to stop those thoughts from entering your mind either, let it naturally flow into you and let it flow out the way clouds pass in the sky. Also you should not meditate with an empty stomach or a full stomach of food. Remember that while meditating you want to reach a state of emptiness, void ness, stillness, tranquility.

Make a concentrate, Keep the mind empty of thoughts N keep concentrate in 1 point, Concentrate is a path or way to make you successful in any works or subject ok lets go on Topic You can do in any time in anywhere but the place should be peace and clam should not be any noise. Sit or lay down on bed anywhere as you feel easy, Keep your backbone straight but should not force your back, keep your body relax, Close your eyes and slowly breath with nose and out from mouth, Do it naturally, Now think and start to count a number slowly as 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 with visualize [visualize in a middle of front head between two eyes ] do not cheat yourself count in heart slowly one by one with visualizing try to listen yourself in heat when you counting and do not speak out When you reached the end of count 10 then count back again up to Zero 0 same as you do before then continue go on first day up to 30, next day 40 as you feel easy. If you are regular on this technique after some days you could feel something affects your self Warning does not do more then 4 or 5 times in a day it will make a pain in the middle of front head or other problems cause your body holding out of range.
